Marco Island 10,000 Islands National Refuge Eco Tour

Marco Island is a tropical paradise that is the largest barrier island within the 10,000 islands that are composed of an abundant network of mangrove jungles and inland waterways where dolphins play and eco-tourism and shelling abound.

Our native captains will skillfully guide you through the 10,000 islands and give you a rare look at many endangered animals and bird species. You will be blown away as you encounter playful bottlenose dolphins feeding and swimming along side the boat and possibly manatees grazing on sea grass. There’s also a good chance you’ll see brown and white pelicans, roseatte spoonbills, herons and egrets – all in their natural habitat. You may even see alligators. All this while on your way to one of Kice islands secluded beaches for some beach combing. Kice island offers you 6 miles of some of the best sea shelling in the world due to it only being accessible by boat.

We will also show you the historic Cape Romano dome house that is located on Cape Romane at the southern tip of Kice island. It was built in 1980-81 as an innovative eco-friendly vacation home by a retired oil executive. Unfortunately for him beach erosion over the years reclaimed the land and forced the family to abandon their house. Thanks to the architectural design of the dome house, it has become a sustainable treasure through the years. It is a must see for visitors of SW Florida.
